Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create my first price experiment?
After installing RevPilot, go to your Dashboard and click "Create Experiment". Select the products you want to test, set your price variants, and launch. The experiment will start automatically splitting traffic between variants.
How long should I run an experiment?
We recommend running experiments for at least 14 days to achieve statistical significance. Higher traffic stores may see results faster. The dashboard will show you when results are statistically significant.
Will customers see different prices?
Yes, but each customer sees consistent prices throughout their session. We use cookies to ensure the same customer always sees the same variant. This prevents confusion and maintains trust.
Does price testing affect my SEO?
No. Search engines see your original prices. Only real customers are shown experimental prices, so your SEO rankings are not affected.
Can I stop an experiment early?
Yes, you can pause or stop any experiment at any time from the Dashboard. When stopped, all products revert to their original prices immediately.
How do I apply the winning price?
When an experiment reaches statistical significance and shows a clear winner, you'll see an "Apply Winner" button. Click it to update all products to the winning price across your store.
What is statistical significance?
Statistical significance tells you how confident you can be in your results. We use 95% confidence level by default - meaning there's only a 5% chance the results are due to random variation.
Can I test shipping prices?
Yes! RevPilot supports shipping threshold experiments. You can test different free shipping thresholds to find the optimal amount that increases average order value without hurting margins.
How do AI recommendations work?
Our AI analyzes your store's historical data, market trends, and experiment results to suggest optimal price points. Recommendations include confidence scores and expected revenue impact.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest), conduct regular security audits, and never share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
